Men's Empowerment Summit Seeks to Strengthen and Build Communities for Third Straight Year

Detroit, MI—Since its inception three years ago, the Man Up Summit has served as a catalyst for effective change, cultivating men (and women) to lead strategic, positive transformation in their communities and the world at large. Founded by DeAndre "D.R. Speaks" Riley, pastor, author and speaker, the Man Up Summit has yielded over 600 people in just two short years. Last year's attendees received a life-changing message from world-renowned author and motivational speaker, Dr. Eric Thomas, known by many as "E.T. the Hip Hop Preacher."

This year's summit takes place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Village Dome Banquet Hall of Fellowship Chapel, 7707 W. Outer Drive in Detroit. "The purpose of the Man Up Summit is to provide the vital keys and tools to attendees, aiding them in the overall empowerment of men," Riley said. "What makes this year's summit different is that attendees will play a vital role in the event by submitting questions beforehand, which will be addressed by our speakers. This year's summit also features local influencers and change agents in communities throughout Metro Detroit and surrounding areas."

This year's summit promises to be an experience to remember with a plethora of community resources, giveaways, and a host of dynamic speakers, including:

·      Bishop Greg Davis

·      Welton Smith, IV

·      Devaughn Kelly

·      State Representative Jewell Jones

·      Christopher Martin

·      and nationally syndicated radio host, Willie Moore, Jr of Atlanta, GA.

Although many of the messages are tailored to men, women are not only welcome to attend—they are encouraged toas they play a vital role in men's empowerment. General admission tickets are $35.
