Fwd: Protect yourself w/these Random Tech Tips

THREE useful Random Tech Tips to help protect you AND your information:

1.Update & CHANGE your passwords regularly.
A strong password is a combination of letters, numbers and symbols. Avoid using common words or personal info that hackers can easily guess. Avoid saving or auto sign ins passwords.

2. Sign-Out of your accounts.
Exiting a window screen only closes that window and does not close any of your active sessions. These remain open in the background and are easily accessible to web trolls. To help decrease security risk, exit the program and always sign out completely.

3. Choose and download apps with caution.
Most common apps and games that are downloaded access your device AND the information stored on it. This is why you have to "accept permissions" before downloading. Always READ the disclaimer first before downloading any game or mobile app.

All of these tech tips and more can be learned during our Computer Workshops.
