The Writers Reading Series promotes InsideOut's teaching writers and brings their creativity to the community. In five readings, from September through March, this year's writers-in-residence read their poems and stories to audiences at the Detroit Artists Market located at 4719 Woodward Ave.

Friday, October 14th (6pm-8pm) will feature: RaNeeka Claxton, Mattison, Tommy Simon, and Isaac Miller.
These are just a few of the 23 outstanding writers slated to work with IO in 32 schools and 3 community centers this year.
Upcoming reading dates at the D.A.M. Fridays: January 27th, February 10th, and March 9th.
